Combining Shopify Summer Edition 2024 Features (Part-1)

1. A context-aware top navigation

This is an addition to the updated navigation, which has a stylish top bar with an alert. Before going to the next page, please be sure that any changes have been manually saved.

2. Organization Settings Update

Unified Management:

Soon, all Shopify plans will include enhanced organization settings. These settings will allow merchants to efficiently manage billing, staff access, and other administrative tasks across multiple stores under a single organization.

Centralized Control:

By combining multiple stores into one organization, merchants can streamline their operations, reducing the complexity of managing separate stores individually. This centralization simplifies oversight and coordination.

Efficient Billing:

Managing billing for multiple stores will become more straightforward. Merchants can handle payments and invoices from a single account, making financial management more efficient.

Staff Access Management:

The update will also include improved staff access controls. Merchants can manage permissions and roles for employees across all their stores from one centralized location, enhancing security and operational efficiency.

Get Notified:

It is recommended that merchants register to receive notifications when these functionalities are ready.

The pop-up window titled “REQUEST ACCESS” indicates that a particular feature is available only by request.

3. Track how events impact store performance

Tracking how various events impact store performance on Shopify, such as app uninstalls, theme updates, and new code implementations, is crucial for maintaining a healthy and optimized store. Shopify provides several tools and best practices to help merchants monitor and analyze these changes.

Shopify Analytics and Reports

Reports:

Access detailed reports on various aspects of your store’s performance, such as sales, customers, acquisition, behavior, and marketing.

Go to Shopify Admin > Analytics > Reports > Web Performance.

Loading Speed

The largest contentful paint (LCP) method rates loading performance by timing its display of the largest element on the screen.

Interactivity

The duration of time it takes the browser to paint the next frame or show a change on the screen following user interaction, like clicking a link or button, is measured by the Interaction to Next Paint (INP) metric.

Visual Stability

Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS) measures visual stability, based on how much the content shifts around unexpectedly during loading

4. Combined Listings is now available

The Combined Listings app, now available exclusively to Shopify Plus merchants, offers a powerful way to showcase unique rich media galleries, descriptions, and URLs for multiple options of a product under one parent listing. This app enhances the product display capabilities, providing a more engaging and informative shopping experience.
