How to Add and Buy Domains in Shopify

The URL, or web address, that customers use to find your store online is called a domain. When you signed up for Shopify, the URL for your online store was set to myshopify.com by default.

Use a custom domain, like www.abcde.com, if you want to change the web address that customers see when they browse your online store.

Domains purchased from Shopify or any other third-party domain provider can be used. Using a domain that is consistent with your brand can help your online store gain customers' trust.

To make the setup process easier, you can purchase a domain through Shopify if you want to purchase a new one.

When you add this domain to Shopify for the first time, it will be set up to be the website address that customers see.

The new domain will automatically point to your primary domain if you already use one for your store. From your Shopify admin, you can control every setting for your domain.

all primary Shopify domains look like this:

www.examplestorename.myshopify.com

If you want to use a custom URL such as www.samplestorename.com, then you can add custom domain one of two ways:

Buy a domain from Shopify (if you don’t already own one).

Connect a custom domain to your online store or transfer the management to Shopify (if you already own one).

Step 1:  Go to Shopify Admin and click on the setting st the last of side bar

Step 2: Then click on domain in setting of shopify

Step 3: there are two option one is for purchase new domain and another one have if you have existing domain then click on second option.

Step 4:If you want to buy new domain then write domain name which you want to purchase according to your store and cliskc on buy.

Your personal information and purchase summary must be reviewed next. You should also choose to renew the domain annually automatically. You won't lose the domain when it expires because of this.

After you have completed the purchase, a brand-new domain may not be operational for up to 48 hours.

Email accounts are not included with domain purchases on Shopify. However, it provides your domain name with an unlimited number of email forwarding accounts.
