How to Duplicate Themes in Shopify
It is in your best interest to duplicate a theme prior to customizing it so that you have a backup copy. If you are dissatisfied with the custom modifications, this makes it simpler for you to begin from scratch. In the Shopify admin, you can have up to 20 different themes. That number includes themes that are repeated. Therefore, you will need to delete one of your 20 themes before you can duplicate another.
Step 1: Go to Shopify admin and select Online Store > Themes.
Step 2: Click the 3 Dots for the theme you want to duplicate.
Step 3: Select Duplicate from the drop-down menu.
The theme will be listed as a "copy of" along with its name in your themes library once it has been duplicated.
